No Brand Comic Rules:

If you want to show off your artistic skills and razor-sharp wit, submit your comics or comic strips to No Brand Comic. You will win permanent bragging rights at both the con and the forums and are encouraged to exercise them. The really important thing, though, is to follow these rules.

FORMAT

1. Your submission must fit within an 7.5"x10" page with 0.5” margins on each side.
2. No submissions longer than 6 pages will be allowed. Shorter submissions are acceptable.
3. Only comics and comic strips will be accepted. Other visual artwork is encouraged, but should be submitted to the Korea Art Contest or the Art Auction.
4. Poetry, fiction, prose, dissertations and other text-based works will not be accepted.

CONTENT

1. All text should be EXTREMELY LEGIBLE, most especially if we have to play with dimensions to make it fit a page.
2. Submissions must be in grayscale. If a color submission looks ugly in the transition from color to grayscale, it will not be used.
3. All submissions must be inked for clarity. Scans of pencil drawings tend to lose a lot of quality.
4. Submitting a comic that doesn’t fit the theme of “Say it with Ninjas…On Fire” does not disqualify it. The theme is merely an attempt to exert an irrational and unrealistic amount of control upon submissions.

RETURN POLICY

• Nothing submitted to the creators of No Brand Comic will be returned—ever. YOU WILL NOT SEE YOUR COMIC AGAIN. Send us a high-quality copy instead.

SUBMISSION

1. All submissions must be turned in by 23 March 2007.
2. All submissions must be INKED
3. We accept either hard copy or high-resolution digital images. Know what your submission looks like when it spews out of someone else’s printer or a copy machine.
4. The submitter must pay all shipping costs.
5. No Brand Comic is not responsible for lost or damaged submissions.
6. There will be no anonymous submissions published. Give the following information on a separate sheet of paper if submitted by snail mail or within the message body if submitted by e-mail.

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Copyrighted characters are discouraged; original characters are both encouraged and preferred.
2. Artists retain the rights to the characters and stories, but submission to No Brand Comic is permission to print and distribute your comic royalty-free.
3. Submission is not a guarantee of publication in No Brand Comic, especially if the rules are ignored.
4. Submission is also not a guarantee of wealth, fame or free t-shirts, though such things could conceivably happen.
